The first step in the process is to decide what type of limited company you want to set up. You can either create a private limited company (Ltd.) or a public limited company (Plc.).

A public limited company is more suitable for larger businesses that plan on raising money through an IPO or issuing shares on the stock market in order to raise capital for expansion purposes.
What do i need?
Before you start registering a limited company on companies house, it is important to make sure you have all of the necessary documents ready. This includes:
-An address for where your business is going to be located at least for the next 6 months (you can change this later if need be)
-A list of people who will be involved with running and managing your business (directors and shareholders).
-The registered number of the company (which is normally provided by Companies House)
-If you are planning on having more than one director, there are additional documents required for each one. You will need their passport or national ID card, proof of residence (such as an electricity bill or mortgage statement), proof that they are not bankrupt or struck off from the register (if relevant), and an indication of their role in the business.
How do I create my company identity?
-Create a company name.
-Find out if the name is available by checking on the companies register.
-Check if your company name complies with the rules at Companies House, including length and use of certain words or abbreviations. If it doesn’t, you’ll need to change it before you can register.
How do I Register a Limited Company on Companies House?
-To register your company, you need to complete form IN01 on the GOV.UK website and costs £12 to submit. Companies are usually registered within 24 hours and a ‘certificate of incorporation’ is sent to you via post which will show your company’s number and date of formation.
